"What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the World remains and is immortal"
By Albert Pike
The way I see it, Bill remains and is immortal for all he has done for others and the World. In the few years I was able to share in his life's journey, he changed mine forever. I have never met anyone like Bill. He was a game changer, always present in the moment. He cared deeply for everyone he met wheter he knew them well or not. He was able to connect to people and events making even the seemingly insignificant important. He could make sense of Chaos. He was fearless. He was the one selected for the toughest missions and with his sense of humor and leadership was able to create success. He is a true Hero and my life is blessed for being a witness to his, always wondering what he was going to say or do next. I kept a list of quotes he frequently used. He always seemed to be able to remember them at just the right moment.
"It is what it is."
"I want to be value added."
"It's not who you are...it is what you did."
"Use your powers for good, not evil."
"Even a styrofoam peanut serves a purpose."
"You gotta be somewhere."
"Listen to understand not to respond."
"If you are going to be dumb...you better be tough."
"Cherish those who support you and crush those who sabotuge you."
"What is the "So What?"
"If you live in the past, what do you need the future for?"

Thankyou Connie, Josh, and Michelle for sharing your husband and father with the World so he could make it a better place for us all.

In the workplace, Bill paired diligence with a practical, down-to-earth mindset that is truly rare and inspired me to work on those qualities in myself. Add that to his timely sense of humor and you have one of the best leaders and friends I've ever had the privilege of working with. Praying for family and friends as we mourn the loss of Bill but also celebrate his life and the ways he made each of us better persons.

We know that no words can help ease the

Peace, prayers and blessings are with them.
