William Melvin LaNeave

June 24, 2013
I have known Billy since back in the early 70's motorcycle racing days when my late husband and I went to watch him, Butch, Speedball and others race. In recent years, I have remained friends with Billy through the Moose Lodge. He will be truly missed. He was one of the good guys. We talked often about life in general, and he talked a lot about his granddaughter. He was so proud of her. I hope God has motorcycles and pool tables up there.

Billy was a great neighbor, classmate, and close friend. We shared lots of good times together.
My wife, Beverley, and I extend our thoughts of sympathy.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. He will truly be missed. My husband said he was a great pool player always a friend. Thanks Bill for watching out for my daughter and family when they lived behind you on Longwood Dr.

Billy was a great guy. I looked up to him and credit a big part of my career to him because he would get me out of high school early and take me to the race track to help him on his racecar. He always made time to help me with my technical drawing and math homework while I was in high school. I loved the jokes and the great since of humor he had. He was a great man and will truly be missed by everyone who came in contact with him. GODSPEED Billy.

We lived behind Bill for many years. My kids enjoyed seeing all his race cars and motorcycles. My husband and him shared many stories about Atlantic City's winnings or losings. We were so sad to hear the news. We no longer live behind him but he was still considered a special neighbor to us. We will miss him and may god be with the family.
