William, I honestly don't know what to say: 4 medals AND, not 1, but 2 Purple Hearts!! That is really something!! And I wonder now why I never even heard about that till now. It would've been my greatest honor to shake your hand for serving our nation with such dedication. Now, I am so sorry I was not able to do that. You and your family were the greatest next-door neighbors and friends anyone could ever want, and your service to my family at the bodega couldn't have been any better. You were really an amazing man: a great soldier, a great neighbor and a great friend. I hope your family finds peace knowing we will never forget you. God bless you always...

Words can't describe the amount of respect this man deserves for his time served in the military, a lot of things have come to light that I never knew up until a few days ago.

He was a true soldier and it was an honor to know him and an honor to call him a grandfather. I have the up most respect and admiration for him and the things he's done in his life, it's a lot more than I can say for most people.

Most families aren't perfect and will go through tough times, But one thing is for sure, you will have to remember the accomplishments in their lives, and respect what they've done and the mark they've made in the world.

William Ramirez's accomplishments and the marks he's made in this world will never be forgot and will always be honored in my eyes.

" Anyone can give, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength "

- Marcus Aurelius

Wow, just reading this obituary amazed me even more about my uncle/God father William (Willy). I never knew this of him, all his metal that he earned in the military. An Amazing Man indeed. Uncle Willy has always been good to us since we were babies. I remember stories being told of his generosity when he had his store in the Bronx.

Uncle Willy always treated me with lots of love. Something about him always made me feel special when I was around him. Full of Love when I entered the room. He would make me laugh and he would shower me with hugs.

When I was raising my son as a single mother, he would always tell me, if ever I needed anything come to him. He was a giving man and full of generosity. Always showed how much he loved me.

Uncle Willy, I love you and will always treasure the wonderful memories that I have of you. I Thank The Lord for you and for the PEACE you will have now, while surrounded by Angels. Till we meet again. May you rest in eternal peace... Love your niece and God daughter, Wanda....
