Willie Marrie Campos (McMillan)

Sunday, January 26, 2014
My dear Willie Marrie, aka Silly Willie, you were the most wonderful daughter that I could ever ask for. You lived life on your own terms. Always with a beautiful smile, not letting the frivolous things of life get you down and keeping true to the things that was really important to you, like your family. You were a good wife to Joe and a spectacular mom for your children. You proved your dedication to the very end, giving them one final Christmas.
When you were faced with the battle of cancer you fought hard, believing that you were going to beat it. Even when the doctors seem to have given up, you continued to fight. You fought it like no one else could. And we all know you did it all for your family. And I am so proud of for your bravery.
I had the honor by being able to take you to your last chemo treatment (the day before Thanksgiving) and you surprised me with a pumpkin pie. And I know that this was just a small sample of the many selfless thing that you done through your life.
Willie I love you so very much and I miss you so deeply. I know that you are not only with our LORD, but you are also meeting your grandma Willie for the first time and I'm sure that she has many stories to tell you. Your time here on earth was way too short, but I know that one-day I will again be with you.

Love, Your Dad

Willie will live in my heart as long as I am breathing. I miss seeing and talking to her daily. Or when she felt like talking and am so blessed to have her as a part of the family. I feel blessed to have got to visit with her if only for a little while. She is loved and a blessing for anyone who knows her. She was always there when she thought you needed her. I thank GOD for her ever being in my life. I love you Willie!YOU ARE AND WILL ALWAYS BE MISSED!!!

My memories of Willie start from finding out I'm going to be an aunt. When I found out she would have our mothers name, I was so proud. I remember Connie waiting for Allen to get scrubbed up, then she handed Allen the baby to bath. They shared in taking care of her and loving her. When she was a little girl, she kept her PaPa working on the toilet, she would use a whole roll of toilet paper at a time. I turned around and she was bringing a boy name Joe to meet us. She was so excited to have kids, I got pictures every week via email. I had never seen anyone take pictures of their kids crying and doing everyday stuff, I loved it. She didn't realize how her pictures told me of the love she had for her family, nothing could have been any clearer. The fight in Willie, and her love for God, prove to be the mark that she left. Willie lived and loved strong, I hope I make her as proud of me as I am of her! I'll love you forever Aunt Eva
