Melanie was one of the girls in my Girl Scout Troop years ago. and I remember her as a sweet girl. When she grew up she remembered her Girl Scout days and always treated me as a friend. She was a good kid and a nice young woman who I am proud to have known and to have been involved in her life. My sympathy goes out to her family.

I met Melanie briefly at Cedar Campus on Valentine's Day wknd about 8 yrs ago through a mutual friend. We had both been through the same chemo and radiation for breast cancer, it was a support group for both of us, she was a blessing to me. Prayers and comfort to her family.

Holly and Heather, I am so, so sorry to hear of Melanie's passing. You were such an amazing trio. I admire how close you were as sisters. I miss seeing you and chatting. One day I hope you two and Joan and and I can hook up, scrapbook and catch up on the past year. I know how hard it has been for you; first your Dad, and now Mel. Please know that I care, and that my thoughts are with you.

I feel so empty inside, yet I feel comforted in knowing Melanie doesn't have to deal with any of this anymore-no more chemo, no more other health issues that plague her and made her uncomfortable. I feel a huge hole in my life once again, but yet happy that she can now be with her Dad and even with my sister, Annie. Even though Joel and Annie are just "new arrivals" there in Our God's world, I know they will escort Mel around and show her the ropes. Let's praise God for our memories and laugh when we think of Melanie's smiles and giggles and fight the feeling of being miserable. Holly and Heather, God's blessings on you..Julianna, hugs and blessings to you, and to Uncle Charlie, John and Daniel and Callie and all the Bartlett family. Love to you all, Catherine Thompson Floyd Melanie, Rest now. We love you.

You are all in my prayers. Melanie held a large part of my heart. We had so many visits, going to and from Coldwater to her doctor visits and chemo treatments. She was an incredible woman, who lived through what would crumble so many. Holly, Heather, Shane, David and Janice, you have my love.
