Mary MIKITKA Obituary
On October 19, 2011, Mrs. Mary Katherine Mikitka of St. Paul passed away at the age of 96 years.
She is survived by her three loving sons, Peter (Sonia), Walter (Margaret) & Andy; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nephews & nieces. She was predeceased by her husband, Alex; daughter, Patsy; son-in-law, Eugene; parents, Sam & Veronica Shubert; three brothers & three sisters, John, Ignatz, Peter, Agnes, Katie & Annie.
Prayer Service Sunday, October 23 at 7:30 p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel, St. Paul. Funeral Service Monday, October 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, St. Paul. Reverend Father Marc Sych will be celebrant with interment in the church cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation or Cross Cancer Institute c/o Box 1780, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A0.

Peter and Sonia, Walter and Margaret, Andy, and your children/grandchildren.
My heart aches for you all. To lose a Mother/Grandmother is one of the most heart breaking trials that one goes thru. You have been so fortunate to have your Mom to such a nice age....she was our Matriach of the Sam/Veronica Shubert Family. Lori&I were so happy to have a special visit with Aunt Mary on the 29th of August.
You, my cousins, are in my thoughts and prayers.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Our girls still talk about "picking raspberries at Mrs. Mikitka's." May your grief turn to fond memories with time. She passed away the same day as our mom, thirteen years later.
