Memories and Condolences
for Thomas Magnussen

Not sure what to say?

My condolences to the Magnussen family. I have known your father for 24 years. He was such a great man, friend and father. I was just thinking of him the other day, happy that we made a connection and that he was my friend. We worked together at Sam's Club and our bond was instant. He introduced my best friend and I to the Buick Open. We had many great years there marshaling with him and Marv B. Love you Tom. Miss you.

My condolenses to Mag's family. I was sad to hear the news about my good ole friend today. What a wonderful man and we had some awesome times at the Buick Open. I remember when he found out he was allergic to peanuts. He told me “What am I going to do… I LOVE PEANUTS… this SUCKS!!! I remember is so vividly LOL. I sympathized with him because I loved peanuts as much as he did and he knew it. Well Mag… my wish for you is that you can have as many peanuts in heaven as you wish and for you to play golf on the most heavenly greens. I will miss you my friend!

Love Fore-Ever

Dear Slug,
During the 'day', all was right with the world because you cared about your agents, both personally and professionally. You always encouraged, but never lectured...asking little of us and all giving of yourself. Your life exemplified professionalism, dignity and grace. Your gifts will be a part of all of us. God's peace my good friend.

I've been an RN for nearly 30 years and have seen many patients during that time. Only a few stand out in my memory and Tom will be one of them. I took care of Tom in the Observation Unit at Genesys for only a couple days and saw how he dealt with his recent diagnosis with dignity and grace. He got transferred off of my unit and I only had the pleasure of knowing him for 2 days. I heard of his passing (on June 12-my birthday) and was very saddened for his family, who must feel his loss acutely.

Mags: one of the best friends and mentors of my life. You had a true impact and we will all miss you. The good memories of our annual golf trip are too numerous to count. I hope you sipping on a cold orange crush on the 19th hole. Oh...I also trust you are working upstairs on that 100 year losing streak. Hey Hey!! Love you slug
