Mildred Coe Holley DARLINGTON - Funeral service for Mrs. Mildred Coe Holley of Lancaster, SC and formerly of Darlington will be 3:00 p. m. Saturday, February 5, 2011 in Shiloh United Methodist Church. Rev. Judith A. Knox, Pastor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc., Darlington. Mrs. Holley died Wednesday, February 2nd in a Charleston hospital after an illness. She was born in Darlington County a daughter of the late Flagler and Bessie Richardson Coe. She received her formal education in the Darling-ton County Public Schools and at an early age joined Shiloh United Methodist Church. After moving to Queens, NY she attended the Greater Allen A.M.E. Church. She was employed with the New York Telephone Company. After retiring she relocated to Lancaster, SC. Survivors include: her husband, Mr. Warren Holley of the home; her daughter, Wanda Holley of Lancaster, SC; a granddaughter, Tiffany Coe of Queens, NY; 2 sisters, Doris (John) Waller of Philadelphia, PA and Margie Samuel of Bronx, NY; one brother, Melvin Coe of Philadelphia, Pa; brothers-in-law, James Holley and Herman Holley; one sister-in-law, Martha Leach; a special niece, Debbie Carter of Kershaw, SC; a god-daughter, Sharita Berry of GA; nieces and nephews. Mildred was preceded in death by two children: Frederick Coe and Angela Coe. The family is receiving friends at the home of a nephew, Melvin Samuel of 1437 Country Manor Road, (Syracuse Community) Darlington.
