Gregory "Lex" Murphy, 29, was born September 20, 1982 in Chattanooga, TN and raised in Simpsonville, SC. Lex passed away on the morning of July 7, 2012. He was predeceased by his father, David Murphy, and is survived by his mother, Jean, and siblings Major, Mark, and Mary. With a warm heart and contagious sense of humor, he will be sorely missed by all those who loved him so much.

Jean, Major, Mark and Mary,
My heart aches for you all and for the rest of us who knew Lex for so many years! We already miss him so much, especially Renee. I watched them grow up together nearly 20 years, thick as thieves.
