I miss you so damn much sister. I don´t know if I´ll ever remember you without feeling the pain of your loss. You were so excited about meeting your nephew only a couple months before you had to go. He´s 16 now and your impact on my life has played a huge role in who he is now, even if he doesn´t realize it. He´s better than me, he will be a better man than me, and that´s because of you. It hurts so bad to lose your favorite person forever that it changes you. It made me better FOR him. You were the only one who always loved me in spite of my evil. You were truly special. Happy birthday, I´ll come see you today. Love ya, mean it.

It is now 2013, I miss you so much. I know one day I will see you again. I was going through your pictures and realized how much I have missed you. The day you left I felt like a piece of my heart went with you. I have manage to fill that hole with sorrow and misery. Soon your spirit will finally take its rightful place.

To Brittany's family and friends,
Your loved one was called Home early so her family and friends will know the name of their guardian angel. Everyone who crossed her path, including those at the Red Lobster, were indeed blessed with her bright smile and spirit.

I never met your daughter and friend, and only read of her passing today while reading the the online postings. Perry is my hometown, and I graduated from PHS in 1967. I can feel her spirit as a very light and kind energy. The photos show she had much love in her 17 years. May her spirit help wipe away your tears and ease your heavy hearts.

I share with you a message from my favorite book, "The Little Prince."

"It is only with the heart that one can see; what is essential is invisible to the eye."
The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince)
Antoine de Saint-Exupery (Paris, 1943)

Walking daily with the Lord and thinking of you and your family...

Pathway of Pain

If my days were untroubled and my heart always light,
would I seek that fair land where the light is so bright?

If I never grew weary with the weight of my load,
would I search for God's peace at the end of the road?

If I never knew sickness and never felt pain,
would I search for a hand to help and sustain?

If I walked without sorrow and lived without loss,
would my soul seek solace at the foot of the cross?

If all I desired were mine day by day,
would I kneel before God and earnestly pray?

If God sent no winter to freeze me with fear,
would I yearn for the warmth of spring every year?

I ask myself these and the answer is plain,
if my life were pleasure and I never knew pain-

I'd seek God less often and need Him much less,
for God is sought more often in times of distress.

And no one knows God or sees Him as plain-
as those who have met Him on the "Pathway of Pain."

Dear David, Athena And families (Kait-Kait) I was ever so honored to have known my Brit-Brit and Kait Kait plus the rest of the crew. When I think of yall and when we raised our babies in Omaha Ga. It takes me back to happy times and happy memories. What does one parent say to another parent when a child beats them to heaven? As I think about Brittany I think by the time we all get there she will have it all decorated in the prettiest colors and with all of us in mind. I don't know about you but I sure am glad that I have Brittany up there routing me on she always knew I was special and had been acused of riding the short bus more then one time. She is truley an Angel and our loss is Heaven Gain. I know that God is going to send the great conforter to help us. Be strong family and dear friends I do love and miss yall so much.

To Brittany's Family;

We continue to keep you all in our hearts and prayers.

Unfolding The Rosebud

It is only a tiny rosebud,
a flower of God's design;
but I cannot unfold the petals
with these clumsy hands of mine.

The secret of unfolding flowers
is not known to such as I.
GOD opens the flower so sweetly,
when in my hands they fade and die.

If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
This flower of God's design,
Then how can I think I have wisdom
To unfold this life of mine?

So I will trust in Him for His leading
each moment of every day.
I will look to him for His guidance
each step of the Lords' own way.

The pathway that lies before me,
only my Heavenly Father knows.
I will trust Him to unfold the moments,
just as He unfolds the rose.

Uncle David,
I am so sorry for your loss! She has your smile. I am trying to figure out the right words to say, but the thought of loosing one of my own comes to mind. Nothing anyone could say right now would do justice. I just want you to know that I am praying for all of you. You are my favorite Uncle and I really just hate all of this for you. I would have made the funeral but I was moving.

To Brittany's Family
I did not have the priviledge of knowing your beautiful daughter but I got an e-mail asking for prayers for your family from someone in my greiving grandparents online group. When I saw what took this beautiful young woman, I was compelled to send my sincere condolences. You see I lost my only grandchild Landan to this disease. He died Nov 16 2006 of Bacterial Mengicoccal Meningitis. He was 3. I know your pain all to well. He was gone in 23 hours. There is no more painful loss then the loss of your child/grandchild. My heart goes out to you. You will be in my prayers.

David and Athena, I can not as a parent express the sadness of your loss. As a teacher, I am proud to say that Brittany was a student in my first Pre-K class in Ellaville. This is the second young lady in the past six months that I had the pleasure to teach that has entered heaven before me. Next month when I look for the names of "my little ones" that will be graduating from high school I will know Brittany has graduated to a much bigger and better place.

I can not imagine losing daddy's little girl, her mamas whole world, and brother/sisters best friend but my heart goes out to each and every family member. We all miss her very much but we know where she is, singing with the angels in heaven. I pray that God gives everyone with broken hearts the strength and wisdom to get through this and not think of the memories you didnt get to make but the ones you did. Dont think of what you should have done or said, think of what you did do or say. Remember! Love ya! Mean it! Brittany was a friend of mine also and I miss her dearly but what gives me comfort is knowing she is in Gods hand. I love her very much and Caitlyn, girl you hang in there! Be strong! I was so sorry to hear about your loss, I know how wonderful Brittany was, for the short time that I was in her life, she truly touched me. I have never forgotten how wonderful she was then. Into the Heavens

I'm standing on the mountain tops
Looking through the horizons of night's earth
Such heights and depths of heartaches
Scream out for understanding and compassion

Wanting to surrender into the impenetrable darkness
Praying for visions and dreams to speak to me
And guide my tormented soul

Feeling alone to struggle with the sufferings of the flesh
I feel natural human emotions, sympathies and need for understanding
Yearning to be embraced by them all

I look up to the heavens with outstretched arms
And see the shadows of reality
There is no darkness—only light
The light that reflects off the castles made of gold in heaven.

I feel the simple unconditional devotion that draws me near
The heavens of pure and utter beauty
I am compelled by the power of His holiness
And surrender to the love of God
As the spirit bears witness unto my soul
The promise that we will be together again.

In Our Hearts

We thought of you with love today
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday
and the day before that too.
We think of you in silence
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories
and your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake
with which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping
We have you in our heart.

Words can't express the deep sorrow
I feel. I met Brittany at stillwater chapel. She was always full of enery
and smiling. A great joy to know and person to be around. If I think about it I can't remember any time that she was not smiling. Even the times I made her mad at me. She just had that special way about her that just made people love her. She was a joy the have in the youth group and even better joy to know as afriend and sister in Christ. We will miss her. We will be praying for you all.

Please See Me Through My Tears by a Bereaved parent of the Compassionate Friends Organization;

You asked, "How are you doing?"
As I told you, tears came to my eyes, you immediately began to talk again, your eyes looked away from me, your speech picked up, and all the attention you had given me went away. How am I doing? I do better when people will listen to my response, even though I may shed a tear or two, for I so want their attention; but to be ignored because I have in me pain which is indescribable to anyone who has not been there? I feel hurt and angry. So when you look away, I am again alone with it. Really, tears are not a bad sign, you know! They're Jesus' way of helping me to heal. They relieve some of the stress of my deep sadness. I know you fear that asking how I'm doing brought this sadness to me. No you're wrong, the memory of my loved ones' death will always be with me, always only a thought away.

Our prayers are with the entire family of Brit Brat. It was an honor to love such a beautiful person and have her in our lives!

I met Brittany when I worked at Red Lobster 2 and a half years ago. She was such a wonderful person and will be missed greatly. Not only was she a wonderful friend, but she brought a smile to everyone's face once she walked into a room. I love her dearly and I'll never forget the wonderful memories she has given me. My deepest sympathies for her family during this time.

To Brittany's family, Although we did not personnally know Brittany, our hearts go out to you at this time. Hearing this really brought home to us how quick we could all lose someone we love, even at a young age of 17. Know that many are praying for peace for you at this time. May God place his loving hands on you and give you the peace and comfort that only he can give.

To Brittany's family,
We are so sorry for your loss. I know there arent any words that can ease your pain at this time.As a parent my heart breaks for you. I cant even begin to imagine the pain that your in. I have two daughters that went to school with Brittany. She was a very special young lady.
My daughters were looking at her my space page today. And Brittany had a quote on there. And it seems to be fitting of her."It takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, and an entire life time to forget them." And it is so true.Because nobody will ever forget her. Please know that we will be praying for all of you in the days and weeks to come.May the love of God,family and friends give you comfort. And may all the memories make you smile..Here's a poem that was shared with me.I hope that it can help in some way.
A Letter From Heaven
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
