Eddy Jonas Obituary
JONAS, Eddy December 27, 1935 - May 23, 2011 Eddy passed away peacefully in his home in Gibsons, BC on Monday, May 23, 2011. Eddy will be lovingly missed by his wife Kim, of 51 years, Lena (Ken), Robert (Inneke), Hanna (Jim) and David (Sarah), his grandchildren, Daniel, Nathan, Matthew, Thomas, Natasha, Alysia, Griffin, Deacon, sisters Nie, Tie, Yoe (Asan) and the many nieces and nephews in Indonesia and around the world. Born in Bangka, Indonesia, Eddy immigrated to Canada in 1969 followed shortly by the rest of his family. Eddy was a loving husband and a kind-hearted and generous man, with a zeal for life and compassion for others who loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He instilled values in his children and grandchildren that will be everlasting, he will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 28 at 1:00 pm at the Calvary Baptist Church, 711 Park Road, Gibsons. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be greatly appreciated.
