Adelmo CIVITILLO Obituary

CIVITILLO, Adelmo Adelmo Civitillo, 92, of Wethersfield, loving husband of Lucia (Pulvirenti) Civitillo for 30 years, died peacefully at home, Sunday, (August 29, 2010) with his family at his side. He was born December 23, 1917 in Sepino, Italy and was the son of the late Nicola Maria and Cristina (Peluso) Civitillo. He served honorably in the Italian Army. Adelmo was a mason for Civitillo Masonry for over 15 years, retiring many years ago. He was a member of the Bricklayers Union Local # 1, Sons of Italy and St. Lucy Society. He will be fondly remembered by his many friends and dearly missed by his devoted wife. Besides his wife, Lucia, he is survived by his brother, Berto Civitillo and wife, Ann of Manchester as well as many nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by brothers, John, Giuseppe, Daniel, Vittorio and Amante and sisters, Giovanella and Carmela. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday (Aug 31) at 10:00 am at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Please go directly to the church. The burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours are TODAY from 4-7 pm at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield.
