Joyce M. BACHL

BACHL, Joyce M. Joyce M. (Ottone) Bachl, 76, of Bolton, beloved wife for 53 years of Edward A. Bachl, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011, with her family by her side. Joyce was born in Hartford, on February 3, 1935 to the late Libero and Ida (Ponticelli) Ottone. She was raised in Glastonbury and Manchester and lived in Bolton for the past 46 years. She worked at United Technologies Corporation for 15 years until the arrival of her first child. She dedicated herself to raising three children until returning to the workforce in 1985 at Rogers Corporation in Manchester, retiring in 1995. Joyce was a member of St. Maurice Church in Bolton, where she supported many church activities, including volunteering at the annual parish bazaar and. Share and Care program. She was an active member of the Bolton Senior Center, where she co-chaired the trip committee for a few years and attended many trips and activities -which brought her great memories and much joy. Joyce enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, baking, canning, gardening, working on crossword puzzles and word jumbles, dominoes, playing cards, reading, and many more activities. In addition to her husband Eddie, Joyce is survived by her beloved children, son Edward Bachl, Jr., daughter-in-law Kimberley Bachl, daughter Lisa Therriault, and daughter Krista Bachl, cherished grandchildren, Amelia Bachl, Isaac Bachl, Dustin Therriault, and Avery Therriault. She is also survived by her dearly-loved sister, L. Margaret Maneggia, treasured aunt and cousin, Virginia Ierardi and Michael Ierardi, and nieces and nephews that she loved as her own: Sharon Woodward, David Woodward, Patricia Maneggia, Yolanda Jenkins, Christine, Thomas, Caiden and Brodie St. Laurent, Karen Woodward and Travis Drudi. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved brother-in-law, George Maneggia. She also leaves behind many dear friends from all parts of her life that brightened her days and shared many wonderful memories with her and her family. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 9:45 a.m. at John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Maurice Church, 32 Hebron Rd., Bolton. Burial will follow in Bolton Center Cemetery, Bolton. Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 15, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
