I'll never forget the time you let me tie your hair into about twenty different pigtails when I was a little girl. When I asked why you let me do that you responded, "Because I love you so much!" I'll miss and love you forever, dad. See you later alligator... In a while crocodile :)

Dear Houle family,

Dan was one of the reasons I joined Phi Delta Theta at M.S.U. in 1975. His instant smile and warm friendship were hallmarks of the man he was. I trust that God will offer you solace in knowing that Dan is at rest, never to suffer again. My fondest condolences,

We moved in next to Dan, Rachael and Sydney 2 years ago. Dan and Sydney showed up on our front porch the second day we were there with a plate full of cookies. Dan was a great guy. He would give you the shirt off his back if you asked for it. Always happy, loved to watch our two dogs play together. We will definitely miss him. May God bless Rachael, Sydney and the rest of the Houle family.

Dan was a good man. He always was happy and loved talking to me about his family and loved talking about Greenhills. He would buy 3 candy bars at every road game and give me one and sit in the stands with me and cheer on the teams. I would sometimes sit on the bus and keep him company, and we would talk and laugh. I will really miss him!

Whenever I saw Dan in the hallways at Greenhills, he always seemed happy to see me; he had a way of making everyone around him feel special. It was a great privilege working with him, and I know that the kids loved having him on the bus, at their sporting events, and around their school. He was a great man, and I'm really going to miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Dan had a great impact on my life. He was a great man who always knew how to cheer the community up, whether with his generosity or a simple, warm smile. It was always comforting to see him cheer on the tennis team, even though he admitted that he had no idea what was going on. It's not often that a student can be excited about having someone drive their bus, but Dan was a great exception. It wasn't just the warm pizza that we got excited about - it was his kind, warm, caring personality that we truly appreciated. He will always be remembered in the Greenhills community, in my heart, and with everyone who had the opportunity to meet Dan. He has changed the way that I look at life.
