Dorothy Toman passed away peacefully Saturday, June 1, 2013, in Katy, Texas.
Most people knew her as "Nana". She was loving, kind, and giving. Nana loved the Lord, and spoke about God each and every day to everyone. Her frequent prayers, "All to thee oh Lord, All to thee oh Lord". Nana raised her six children by herself because her husband, Joe Toman, passed away at a young age. Nana had a focus of God first, family second. She knew all else would work together with the Lord.
She leaves behind her children, Joe, Jan (Sister), Jim, Frank, Marilyn (Mary), and Rene; sixteen grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Nana, we will miss you.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2013, at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel, where a wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Don Kish officiating. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, in Katy, with Rev. Msgr. Jack M. Dinkins, Celebrant. Interment in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
