Ivan Dudley Obituary

Ivan F. Dudley 1953 - 2011 Ivan F. Dudley, a 57 year old Boise resident died Saturday, July 9th, 2011 at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Ivan was born August 15, 1953 in Burley, Idaho. He was the fifth child of Frank and Rhoda Ann Wells Dudley. Ivan was raised and educated in Burley and upon completing school took a job with Robert's Roofing where he learned the roofing trade. After working a while for Robert's Roofing, Ivan decided to move to Boise and try his luck with another roofing company. After falling off the roof at one of his jobs, he decided to give up roofing and try something different. He then went to work for Columbia Paint, delivering paint and supplies around the Boise area. He left Columbia Paint and became a professional jack of all trades. Ivan loved having a good time. He made friends wherever he went and seemed to know everyone. He had a great sense of humor and lived every day as if it was his last. He was an avid sports nut and a huge fan of the Los Angeles Raiders. He touched the lives of all who knew him in one way or another. He will be missed by all. Ivan is survived by two brothers, Edward E. Dudley and LaMont R. Dudley (Mona) both of Burley, one niece, Catrina Dudley of Twin Falls, Idaho; three nephews, Rick Dudley of Elkins, West Virginia, Mark Dudley of Lewiston, Idaho and Nick Dudley of Boise, cousin Bill Dudley & Kathy of Boise and other numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews, and childhood friend John & Sally Miller of Pine, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rhoda Dudley and two sisters, Rosemary Dudley and Karen Ann Stephens. The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at St. Alphonsus for their care and compassion toward Ivan. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Ivan's dear friend, Randy Holmes, for all of his help, love and support. There will be a Celebration of Ivan's life July 23rd at The Cresent No Lawyers Bar and Grill and Joes River Bar & Grill in Burley at a later date.

you took all of my best secrets with you! the time you caught my hair on fire!..the prank phonecalls we made until i laughed so hard i couldnt breathe...
its been 21 years since you came to my house for dinner with garry grapp, heald my 2 month old daughter and decided she was your own adopted daughter...im so happy you were with us 2 summers ago to hold her son!...thankyou for being there for me through out my sons "trip to sing sing" as you put it...and being there for us when he came home...
thankyou for always respecting sarah for who she is...
kiss and cuddle my granddaughter maraiah who was taken before we knew her..as you promised me you would...
gosh..i had no idea our time was so short...you helped me start to believe you were going to stick around. we had so many more plans...
time will never heal...it will only be a constant reminder of how long youve been away...i will miss you forever...when my time comes, i will have peace in knowing i can come and find you,,,even if you are still...just a little busy...

SO SORRY TO HEAR OF SUCH SAD NEWS. I MET IVAN WAY BACK AROUND 45 YEARS AGO. WE WERE BORN ON THE SAME DAY AND YEAR BUT I WAS BORN IN RUPERT. I MET HIM THROUGH BARBARA BRYAN AND TIM FRIEDERICH. I LAST SAW IVAN 3 DAYS BEFORE TIM DIED AND THEN AGAIN AFTER TIMS DEATH. WE HAD SOME GOOD TALKS OF THE OLD DAYS . I HAD THE BIGGEST CRUSH ON HIM WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER. I'M SORRY I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW HE WAS ILL. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS WILL BE WITH HIM AND HIS FAMILY. LETS ALL KEEP THE MEMORIES GOING.... DEBERA GLENN-FRIEDERICH-ROBINETTE

I met Ivan in 1986. We shared many good times together. When I saw Ivan at the end of May, he stated he was "tired of being poked and proded, and tired of being sick". He was on his way fishing! Ivan, I hope you catch the big fish up there! RIP I will love and miss you always.

John and I have known Ivan forever. He was our other son..when I would call him, I'd say this is your mother calling. He did consider us as his other parents. He never missed a Miller Pig Roast! He loved that pig. Ivan loved to fish at Anderson or down out of Burley. Ivan you will truely be missed!
