So saddened to hear of Willie's passing. He was a wonderful man, whom you couldn't help but smile when around. He drove my bus in middle school at Fries many years ago, and always seemed to know what to say to make things better during the awkward middle school years. I remember him talking of his family often then...he loved them dearly. The world will not be quite as bright without his smiling face. Your family will be in my prayers.

I never had the chance to meet my 1st cousin Willie Cruse Jr. When I heard the news that my cousin past and that I was only 3hrs away I gathered the strength to travel and pay my respects to his wife and children. At that moment I realized that I could learn a lot about a person by what is said at the funeral as well as who attends. My cousin was a great man who was well loved and appreciated by many. I truly missed the opportunity of a lifetime but it was his spirit that lives within his family which comforted me and made me feel like a part of the family that was always there! May God bless his wife, children, Brother, and Sister as well as all whom are grieving the loss of a great man... Please continue to share great moments that I may continue to learn of his awesome life story!!!
1st Cousin Mr. Stacey Bradshaw (Grandson of Walter(Lester) J. Bradshaw)

I was a classmate and friend of Willie. We played football, basketball, and baseball together growing up. But Willie was a track man, very fast. My most memorable moment of Willie was drivers education class. I still tell that story today. My family and I send our condolences.

I've worked with Willie through his time at Fries and my time at Griffin 'til June 2008 when I retired. Whenever I went back to Griffin to visit, Willie would welcome me with a big smile and a bigger hug. I will miss that. He loved his family, was a proud daddy and always ready to talk about his kids. A very special man! I am praying for all of you.

I was PTO President at C.C. Griffin and never once did I need anything that Mr. Willie wasn't there to help..sometimes I didn't even have to ask. He was always happy and friendly and the kids loved him, just like we did. Our thoughts and prayers are with Willie and his family. He was a great man. Stacy Gherardi
