Hilary Anne Weimer

Hilary Anne Weimer, 29, of Knightstown passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012.

Hilary was a 2001 graduate of Knightstown H.S. She earned a BA from Indiana University in 2005. In 2011, she completed a MPA from the University of Colorado Denver.

She worked at Lake County Discovery Museum in Wauconda, IL, Rocky Ridge Music Center in Estes Park, CO, and also the YMCA of the Rockies.

Hilary was a member of Phi Beta Kappa at Indiana University, Indianapolis Sailing Club, Indianapolis Children's Choir, Knightstown United Methodist Church and was a volunteer at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis. Hilary was active in hiking, biking, traveling, snowboarding, mountain climbing including 14,000 ft. peaks of the Colorado Rockies. She also enjoyed music and piano.

Survivors: parents: David and Jean (Singleton) Weimer, brother: David J. Weimer, grandfather: Wilbur E. Weimer all of Knightstown; uncles and aunts: John and Jane Jorgensen, Robert and Camile Weimer; cousins: Kirsten Jorgensen, Anne (husband, Rex) Weber, Heather (husband, Greg) Turner, Monica (husband, Alex) Pasqual, and Wendy (husband, Doug) Sawyer.

Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the Knightstown United Methodist Church with Pastor Kenneth Wells officiating. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Wednesday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the IU Simon Cancer Center for Dr. Shadia Jalal's research. Please make memorial gifts payable to: IU Foundation and mail to IU Simon Cancer Center, PO Box 660245, Indianapolis, IN 46266. Please indicate "In memory of Hilary Weimer" on your gift.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I work security at the Eiteljorg Museum where I met Hilary. She was such a joy to be around. Her smile was truly infectious. She always seemed to be ready for her next great adventure or on the verge of some wonderful discovery. I will miss her.
