Charles Ludwig Obituary


LUDWIG, CHARLES LOUIS - Of Jackson, passed away Monday, December 13, 2010 at Jackson Country Medical Care Facility, age 91 years. He was the son of Joseph and Marcella Ludwig, born July 6, 1919 in Windber, Pennsylvania. Mr. Ludwig was preceded in death by his loving wife, Eugenia F. Ludwig; his parents; seven brothers, Walter, Frank, John, Stanley, Anthony, Edward, and Joseph Ludwig; five sisters, Julia Waltos, Stella Waltos, Mary Kistka, Jean Swain and Angie Waselewski. Mr. Ludwig is survived by his six children, Richard (Susan) Ludwig, Linda (Robert) Driscoll, Elaine (Bob) Smith, David (Suzanne) Ludwig, Shirley (Bill) Swank, Charlene Ludwig (Ed Zlotorzynski); six grandchildren, Wendy (Peter), Michelle (Jeff), Carrie (Zach), Ryan, Troy, and Kaitlyn; four stepgrandchildren, Matt (Nora), Dan (Marianne), Marty, and Josh; six great-grandchildren, Joe, Danny, Isabel, Connor, Seth, and Mallory; sister, Vicky Lacinski; three sisters-in-law, Mary, Janie and Bernice Ludwig; two brothers-in-law, Tony Lacinski and Stan Waselewski; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Charles retired from Walker Manufacturing Company after many years of service. He was a life long member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Polish Falcons, and Polish National Alliance. He enjoyed spending time with his family, tending his flowers, and watching the Detroit Tigers and Chicago Cubs Baseball. The family would like to give their heartfelt thank you to the staff of Cozy Corner at Jackson Country Medical Care Facility for their loving care of our dad. Mr. Ludwig is at the WATSON FUNERAL CHAPEL where prayers will be held Friday, December 17, at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Andrew J. Dunne O.S.F.S. officiating. Interment St. John's Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Lumen Christi Catholic High School or Jackson County Medical Care Facility.

Visitation Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. with Knights of Columbus service at 6:30 and a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. www.Mlive.com/obits
