Jacqueline Riethmiller Obituary
JACQUELINE "JACKIE" - Of Grass Lake, MI, age 77, died Friday, August 19, 2011 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital due to complications of esophageal cancer. She was born January 24, 1934 in Chelsea, Michigan, the daughter of Garnett & Marguerite (Krontz) Weir. Jackie was a 1952 graduate of Chelsea High School. She worked for Chelsea Social Services and was Deputy Clerk for Waterloo Township. Jackie attended the Waterloo United Methodist Church. On March 22, 1957 she married Floyd J. Riethmiller in Chelsea and he survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Debra of Grass Lake, and Susan of Billings, MT; two sisters, Barbara Egler and Mary Alber. She was preceded in death by her son, Russell in 1964 and her brother, Robert James Weir. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 23, 11:00 a.m. at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with the Reverend Georgie Dack officiating. A private burial will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Waterloo. The family will receive friends Sunday, 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the veterans organization of your choice. www.Mlive.com/obits

Dear Floyd, Debbie and Suzie,
We were so sorry to hear about Jackie's sickness and death. She was such a fun and loving person and did so much for others. I found her so interesting to talk to about the history of Waterloo and wanted to have her help me plan a reunion for our old school, even tho she didn't go there. We had such a good time visiting with her and others about old times last summer at the ice cream social. We will all miss her.

We were so sorry to hear of Jackie's death. Our friendship goes back many years with lots of fond memories of antique tractor pulls at Greenfield Village, the Chelsea Fair and many other community fairs in the area. We send our sincere sympathy to Floyd, Debbie, and Susie.
