Edna McGhee Obituary
Edna Lahree (Wilkison) McGhee, 82, of Lafayette, passed away at the Mulberry Health and Retirement Home at 9:40 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2013. Born February 17, 1931 in Flint, MI, she was the daughter of the late John and Reba Wilkison. She was raised in Lafayette and had also resided in Delphi from 1961 to 2001. She was a 1949 graduate of West Lafayette High School.
Edna married Onis "Mac" McGhee on March 30, 1951 in Lafayette and he preceded her in death on December 11, 1997. She worked as a vet assistant for the Delphi Veterinarian Clinic for 23 years. She was an avid golfer and bowled in several leagues in Lafayette and Delphi. She always supported "her" Boilermakers.
Surviving are her children, Gordon McGhee (wife, Donna) of Thorntown, Linda Pruitt (husband, Jim) of Lafayette, Thomas McGhee (wife, Anne) of Lafayette, and Kathy Graves (husband, John Deardurff) of West Lafayette; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and several special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Ralph Wilkison and a sister, Lillian Stauffer.
Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Hippensteel Funeral Home.
Funeral service Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Jason Morris

As a classmate of Edna's at WLHS,I wish I am sorry about her passing. I remember her being at the birth of our second child at Home Hosp in May 1956. She was such a comfort. She was such a dear.
