Rest in peace. Father Galdon. You were my pastor/counselor when I was a teenager at St. Mary's Church in Nutley. And you still remembered me when I grew up and moved to Bayonne.

Father Galdon was an outstanding priest who worked hard for his parishes, many of which had particular challenges, and showed sound pastoral care for his people. We can hope that God calls more men to such outstanding service to the Church.

So sad to hear of the passing of Father Peter. He was a great person, He baptized, gave First Holy Communion and was there when my Caity was confirmed. He was always a decent and fair man, If you had a problem with him, you worked it out and that was that it was over. May you rest in peace Fr. Peter and be reunited with all who loved you and who you loved

When i heard this sad news the other day i was in shock! I knew Fr. Peter from St. Nicolas church. As a young girl I attended his masses alone every single sunday. He led my Communion & Confirmation I have nothing but great memories of Fr Peter. His legacy will live on forever! My prayers are with his family & may he forever rest in peace.

Fr Peter was fair to everyone. he gave you a directive or a job to do, get it done correctly and move on what was he taught me over the years at St. Vincent's. there was no "in" crowd or "special" people. His final months were difficult health wise and now he joins many whom he guided as a pastor. Rest in peace with them.

Although I never met Fr. Galdon, we have much in common. I went to St Nickolas before his time, went to Marist High School after he did and was married in St Mary's Church in Nutley. I feel I know him. May he Rest in Peace.

Father Peter has made a huge impact in my life. He was the priest at my 1st Holy Communion. He offered me much guidance during a difficult time in my life many years after. I am saddened to hear of his passing away. He will be missed by all who knew him. I pray for his family. Rest in peace!

Fr. Galdon made a significant impact on parish life during his time at St. Mary's in Nutley. He was a kind and understanding priest who coped with failing help during his later years.
Resto nella pace!

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
