Darlene Annette Spitzley Delta Township Age 48, passed away, Thursday, October 28, 2010. Darlene was born September 24, 1962 the daughter of Donna (Benda) Foster and stepfather, James. A Lansing area resident all of her life, Darlene graduated from Holt High School. She was working at Sparrow Hospital as a nurse for the last three years. Darlene has been a member at Trinity United Methodist Church for 13 years. Darlene's life revolved around her family, especially her two daughters who were the light in her life. A loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend will be dearly missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Angelia in 1998. Darlene is survived by her loving husband, Tim; daughters, Amy and Amber Spitzley; brothers, Edward Foster and Steven (Angie) Foster; sisters, Teresa Heinlen and Lisa (Casey) Reynolds. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, November 2, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Home, Delta Chapel with Pastor Gary Simmons of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends, Monday, November 1, 2010, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Darlene. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.palmerbush.com.

I have just learned of Darci's passing,she & I worked together at Cracker Barrel many years ago and I still can see her smiling face and remember how nice it was to work with her. So very sorry for your loss. L.G.

Tim,

You won't remember me, and that's okay. I was one of Darci's many, many customers at Tony M's. When she went thru the MA program, she did her externship in my office. She was an amazing woman. I will treasure my memories of her. She and Angela are reunited. You and your daughters are in my thoughts and prayers.

Darci was a terrific high school friend whom I shared a birthday with. I have a lot of great high school memories and just regret loosing touch during our adult years. I am thankful that I found her on Facebook last year and at least touch base with her shortly. She was a terrific person and I'm sure she will be missed by all whose lives she touched. May she be at peace.

My heart goes out to your family in the loss of Darc, she was a beautiful soul who truly loved being a nurse, i was always impressed with how wonderful she was with patients, thier families and her co-workers as well. She had a special light and she shared it with all those around her, she will be greatly missed, Im guessing for some reason God needed her there, but she was certainly needed here too. Rest in peace Darci, I feel honored to have met you.
