Harold McGoron Obituary

Harold LeRoy McGoron Lakeview Age 86, formerly of Laingsburg, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2010 at his home in Lakeview. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home, Laingsburg Chapel with Pastor Robert Prange officiating. Family will meet with friends on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Laingsburg Cemetery. Harold was born on November 10, 1923 in Indianapolis, IN, the son of Glen and Lola Belle (Kogin)McGoron. He graduated from Lansing Everett High School and served in the US Army during WWII. On April 29, 1946 he married Patricia Baker in Lansing. he was retired from General Motors where he worked as a mechanic in Lansing and Milford. He is survived by his wife 64 years Patricia, five children; Andrea Amador of Webberville, Cathleen Callaghan of Lakeview, Cynthia (Ron) Root of Haslett, Harold McGoron Jr. of Grand Ledge and Erin (Perry) Martin of St. Johns, 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters and one brother. Memorials can be made to Kelsey Memorial Hospital of Lakeview. Online condolences can be sent to www.watkinsfuneralhomes.com
