My heart goes out to the family of Kiani. Kiani was one of my best friends. We attended Everett High School and Harry Hill together. She was so nice, sweet, and caring. She was the one that kept all of our friends together. However after high school, we all split and created new lives. I have been trying to contact Kiani for weeks now. To hear through another friend that we have lost her, broke my heart and I didn't want to believe it. Now that I know for sure, I really don't know how to what to say or what to think. I know Kiani is well now, and she is not sick or suffering from pain anymore. I LOVE YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH BEST FRIEND!!! I AM GOING TO MISS YOU SOOOOO MUCH! YOUR LAUGHTER WHEN WE MADE JOKES, YOUR PRESENCE, AND HAVING A GOOD FRIEND LIKE YOU TO TALK TO!

I did not know you and Diane's daugher, Kiani, but I do know Benton Harbor's Rodgers family. So with that in mind, I can be sure that her character and compassion made her a "GEM" to all she knew during her
lifetime. I say, "DEATH BE NOT IT PROUD" for now you have an angel in your realm of darkness. May her angelic spirit shine so vivaciously and effervescently that you must shield your presence from her radiant glow. Ivan, Diane, Ivanna and family: I remember the first time I saw Kiani's pretty, tiny little face. You guys were sitting in front of me in church, and Diane was holding Kiani. What an absolute joy it was to watch her grow up in the church, and in Christ, working in so many ministries, and setting a marvelous example for young people. She leaves behind an unparalled legacy of how to carry yourself as a young Christian woman, as well as how to praise God, help others, and work in ministry within the church. She always had a kind and wonderful spirit, and was always courteous, helpful, and polite to others. She will be so greatly missed. My prayer for your family is that God, who is the author and finisher of our faith, hold each of you closer to Himself than He ever has, and comfort you in His loving arms during this most difficult time. What a mighty God we serve!! I remember when the doctors said Kiani would only live for 7 days, but for 23 marvelous years, What a mighty God He is! Now Kiani can serve God to the utmost without a worry or a care!
