Loved working with Megan. We both loved our horses/riding, nursing, helping people. We worked together and I had the privileged to train her as a HUC. Our biggest connection was that we both knew the Lord. We had many conversations about Jesus using our lives to honor and glorifying God. I know wherever and whatever she did was because she wanted to live her life as a light to the lost. She was beautiful, and eloquent in how she spoke. Bubbly, cheerful, and full of life. Whenever I saw her at church she would always embrace me with a warm hug and open arms. She will be missed... As short as her life was she lived it purposefully and for God. I had the great honor of knowing your daughter in Ocala at Rasmussen college. She was a great friend, caring nurse, and a wonderful person. We all loved her very much. Dear Schoenmaker family and Phil,
I was with a group of people that were one of the first to come up to Megan on the trail that night. Everyone there did everything they could do to help. I watched Phil try and do everything possible to try and save her. As we rode back to our hotel we stopped and looked up in the clear star fillled sky, we just knew she was up there. I have been snowmobiling since I was a little kid and I could not wait to get home to hug my kids and wife. Peace be with your family in this difficult time.

Dave M. called me to let me know. I can't even imagine what you are going through. Having just read your Christmas letter and learning that Meghan had graduated from nursing school and that she had a "serious suitor" Phil, I am so shocked to hear the horrible news.
