Condolences to the family. I met his daughters a few years back. Amazing how they ministered to their dad during his final years. Such amazing Christians who will meet their dad in Heaven. May you feel God's hugs and mercy as He fills the void in your lives. I'm sure with both parents deceased you feel like an orphan. Hugs, love and prayers.

Deepest condolences to his loving family. I grew up in Las Vegas, my brothers and I went to Catholic school with his children. Remember Pupi from Cleopatras Barge, little before my day, but remember him and will always remember him as a Legend. I know God is please with his beautiful talent he shared with the world. Thank you Pupi...

Pupi was an under rated pioneer of Cuban music in the US, a fine dancer and band leader who can be seen in several movie and TV clips, a real funny gent as well. Pupi and Desi Arnaz were the first cubanos to be on TV as regulars, add to this pianist José Mellis who was Jack Paar's Morning Show band leader and Marco Rizo who was Desi's music director and who also worked with Bob Hope on his TV show in the early 1950s. I remember when my sister and I were young there was nothing better than when uncle Pupi came to visit! Truly one of a kind... he was blessed with a gift to inspire others to laugh, love, and enjoy life.
You will always be with us in spirit Uncle Pupi

Campo Family,
Our deepest sympathies to your family on the loss of your dad. Lorene and I both lost our dads this past year. We have taken great comfort in knowing we will all be together again someday. May Jesus wrap his arms around you all and hold you close over the coming days and weeks.

One thing about Pupi, he could ALWAYS make you laugh! (Even if you didn't understand some of the words he said) He was a great person at heart and soul. While he spent his days in our "temporary home," he never created a bad name for himself in my eyes.
May Jesus give you lots of hugs; and hopefully your career in heaven will be one of an entertainer!
I love you, God bless---Michal Irk

Dear Campo Family
We have known Pupi since he was in Miami Beach. I believe it was in the mid 1950's when we met; we were dance teachers (Peter & Maria Belvedere) and naturally we found his great band at the Deauville Hotel. We adored him and his family. Pupi, Betty and all the children were often at our home for a great time and we were at their home for the same great time.
When Pupi and Betty wanted to expand their house in the late 1950"s my son Ron and husband Peter built a large Florida room at Pupi's home in Miami Shores. Pupi was a wonderful helper getting supplies and providing great fun and happines.
Those were great times and we miss them.
When he and his Family left to go to Las Vegas there was a great void because we couldn't see him and the family on a regular basis.
We have kept up the contact with Pupi thru the years and he enjoyed the phone calls and visits to Las Vegas.
We will miss him dearly and are condolances and deepest sympatiey to the family on the loss of a dear friend.
Pupi rest in Peace and God Bless you and your family

(Melody) I will miss his ready smile and the way he use to say "hello my baby" those times when I would greet him "Ola Papi" He was one of the few father figures I knew and I will miss him very much. You all are in our prayers and we deeply regret that a prior engagement will be keeping us from the memorial service. Please know that we love you all and we hope to see you soon.

My heart goes out to the Campo family.
The first time I saw Pupi was at Caesar's Palace on the barge. I think that was in 1973. Then I got to know him when he started dating my sister and then came to be my brother inlaw. He became an Uncle to my children and they adored him. He had a big heart and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He could make you laugh with the funny faces he would make and the silly things he would say. One time when he and Joette came to visit us in Michigan we all went camping. Pupi and my son Neil came down the stairs dressed alike in white shorts and blue tank tops. Pupi even let Neil use one of his gold chains to wear around his neck so they would be identical.
I love you brother inlaw and you will be greatly missed. Thank you for the memories :) Karen

What wonderful memories I have from Durango Baseball days when your Dad was so supportive of the boys. It was during those times that I learned what a wonderful Father he was to raise such faithful children. May God hold you and comfort you as you celebrate your Fathers life. Thank you for sharing him with me and Casey.
You are in our hearts.
