My heart is filled with grief at the loss of my husband and my best friend. And my heart breaks for him. He was active and strong and his precious life was cut short. There was so much left for him to live for.

My mind can barely think of how to go on without him. Over the years, we laughed together and cried together. We shared good times and bad times. Sometimes we agreed and sometimes we disagreed. Love held us together through it all.

I'm thankful for having been part of his life and for the times spent with his family and friends. Thank you all for your sympathy and prayers for Buddy.

I love you Buddy. You will stay in my heart until our souls can meet again.

I would like to thank everyone for their kind words and compassion for my brother and our family. Words can not explain how much I will miss my big bro. We spent so much time together the past twenty or so years.I will never forget all the things that we went thru,I kind of feel selfish now that we will not be physicaly together, but we will always be together in our souls.

My fondest memories of Uncle Bud as a child would be the trips we took to Pompano Beach to visit my Aunt Missi and Uncle Bud. We spent time at the stables and beach. I felt like the luckiest kid in the world to share their compassion for horses and be a part of the work they did. I remember this one time i did not come with a bathing suit b/c the plan was to hang at stables for the day and we were able to go to beach. My mom had to buy me this funky thing made out of towel material that i ended up wearing and was mortified to wear it but i laugh now about it because of the good times we had there. My last memory would be the compassion and love he gave me when he came for my wedding. He stayed at my house and for the first time that I can remember I had one on one converations with him as an adult and not as his lil niece. Being a long distance relative, One on one time can be difficult to achieve so I treasure that. He would rag on me b/c sometimes I would forget and call my Aunt Missi and pronounce it (Ant) and he would say She is not an ANT, she is your AUNT, the northern way to say it. One of the many ways he made me laugh. Sending all my love to my ANT Missi, I love you and Uncle Bud, I will miss you dearly and loved you very much.

Your niece

I believe it is true, that a man is measured by how many friends he has..and by the showing of those friends & family this past Sunday, Buddy was truly a gem. We all had a lot of good times together, especially these past few years as we grew closer. It was a pleasure knowing him.
Haskell Family, please know we will be keeping him and all of you close in our hearts...
With heavy hearts
Love, Arthur & Spring Davignon

It's hard to describe how I feel after losing my young father. I am blessed to have known him and will have a deep sadness for a long time. By having a dad like him I was able to learn about love and life, and by having him as my dad I was able to meet so many of his great friends. I am a much better person because of him. Thanks Dad and to all his friends "thank you". See you again dad-love you forever.

I just found out about the passng of Buddy. A man of compassion and caring about everyone. He tried to see the good in everyone. I feel a agreat loss. A better friend, I never had. I'm still in shock and words cannot express my grief. During my sickness Buddy picked up the slack in my stable, because of the compassion he had. He refused to take any compensation for his work.He was a good friend a good horsmen and a caring man. Bud and I had several one on one talks. I know he knew the Lord and is in heaven. I hope to join you sometime my friend. May the Lord bless and comfort his family.

My sympathies to Buddy's family. Known to me as "Little Buddy", my big cousin would tolerate us younger kids when my mom & dad - his Uncle Neils & Aunt Pat - would visit my Uncle Bud & Aunt Ann and all the kids. I remember with fond memories when all us cousins were together at Nana & Grampa Haskell's camp at Bonney Eagle - swimming, rowing the boat, and playing into the dark of the night. It's wonderful that Buddy grew up to have children of his own who also gave him grandchildren & great-grandchildren. He must have been a fun Grampa Haskell himself :) He fit a lot into his brief 68 years. Best wishes to Buddy's family from his cousin, Cindy Sorenson Harvey & family.
