Matthew Ryan LeClair Blanchard, 24
PORTLAND -- Matthew Ryan LeClair Blanchard, 24, of Gray, passed away suddenly on July 11, 2012. He was born at Maine Medical Center, the son of Mary LeClair and Ronald Blanchard on July 15, 1987. He grew up in Portland and attended Portland schools.
Matt enjoyed camping, fishing, 4-wheeling, going to the beach and spending as much time as possible with his girlfriend, Casey and their little dog, Scruffy. Matt was currently attending Southern Maine Community College where he was studying for his plumbers' license.
Matt is survived by his three children, Taylor Valez of Portland and Ryan and Brianna Blanchard of Gray; his parents, Mary LeClair of Portland and Ronald Blanchard of Portland; his sister, Chantelle Blanchard, his brothers, John Howard and Corey Blanchard; his step-mother, Michelle Splude; and his step- brother, Joshua Hersom. Matt also leaves behind his maternal grandparents, William and Mary LeClair of Windham and his paternal grandparents, Robert Blanchard of Wisconsin and Ann Andrews of Portland. He was predeceased by his step-grandfather, Big Dick Andrews; and his longtime girlfriend and love of his life, Casey Greene. He is also survived by several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
