Skip and I worked together for IBM (West Palm Beach office porting ViaVoice to Mac. Skip was a pleasure to work with and a nice person. I only worked with him a short time but enjoyed his way of making droll programming fun. He is missed.

Almost 9 years ago I received the horrific news that you had passed. It took a while to sink in! We had just beat stomach cancer! Your commitment and discipline to do everything in your control to recover as much as possible were rewarded! I was beyond happy when you told me you were in remission. Whod of thought a couple days later youd get hit while riding your 1200 pound bright white horse that stood 8 feet tall. I miss you all the time! You were so pleasant and enjoyable to work with! You always looked out for me! Referred so many great people as well! You were one of the few people who understood was life was really about. Gone, but never forgotten.

Skip, you were a great friend of many years. We first met at a Coldplay concert back in 2005. The most memorable time we spent together was the day the iPhone launched... he called me up to say "Someone has canceled on me, so do you want to go to the iPhone launch party tonight?" Craziest question anyone has ever asked me. Skip was one of the few people in Apple that had possession of an iPhone and I'd just purchased one earlier that day. So we had an amazing evening demo'ing the iPhone to many of the Apple employees that hadn't yet seen one. Incredible. Years later, visiting his farm down south, he would reminisce about "this is the farm that the iPhone paid for". From high technology to a love of animals, he was a great friend.

I had not spoken to Skip for some time and found out about this tragedy when recently thinking of how he might be doing. The world has lost a great person. My condolences go out to his family and friends. Rest in peace.

I just found out about this today. I knew Skip had cancer and thought that was the reason for his passing, up until I read his tragic death.
I only knew Skip for a brief period of time, but he was such an awesome person to be around. He had great energy and was so very friendly. His farm had such beautiful horses.
My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.
Rest in Peace, Skip. I will miss you dearly.

Oh Skip…you were taken from us way to early!
I’m still wrapping my head around the news Moe delivered to me yesterday of your passing. My heart broke in an instant; my tears flowed like rivers but not only for the loss of my friend so special and amazing, but for your family and Able! Whose loss is felt more deeply, my heart and prays are with them at this difficult time and always as their hearts heal.
Your departure from our lives is extremely saddening, but the thought of meeting up with you again someday in a beautiful place with Ruly and Regal Bull brings happiness to my heart.
Share one of those big sentimental hugs with Ruly that he was always so giving of. That’s the memory I will hold closest to my heart of you. In life those moments of you two always brought a little tear to my eye, so tender a moment.
I love you, adore you and will miss you to pieces!

Skip, wonderful man, man of humor, brilliant man, yep, I enjoyed our email friendship. I am so sorry that you and your beautiful buddy had to die so soon. We all are. I am sure that you and Regal Bull will be together forever, and I bet you one think, Regal Bull is happy to be with you! Somehow, where ever you are, I sort of think you are chuckling and thinking to yourself, "heck, I might have had a long and painful death with the cancer but I got it over with in a flash." Anyway, Skip, I will miss you.

I have had alot of trouble thinking of what to say Skip. Before you even moved to California, I felt like we knew you. Maybe it was all the pictures you sent us of you and Regal Bull. ;) You offered to help us move without hesitation when Gavin was months old. You came to his first birthday armed with the biggest stuffed horse for Gavin to love. You filled our home, and the barn with your contagious laughter. Not to mention, you always made time even when you didn't really have any to spare, to help with technical computer problems. You were so kind to everyone... especially to those that many would overlook. I'm so heartbroken that I didn't see you after we left. I hope you knew how much you meant to us. I'm so sorry this happened to you and Bull. I send my love and prayers to your family. This is a tremendous loss.

After losing my horse just this year, this brings up memories for the loss of not just a horse but a person that loves the horses. I wished I would have met you, Skip. We lived so close. May you and Regal Bull rest in peace~

I never had the opportunity to meet you. I am saddened at the loss of life from the accident. I happened to be going home to San Martin moments, merely seconds after the accident,was overcome with emotion and wondered how something like this could happen. I learned later that my daughter and her friends had known you and Abel. As I mentioned before i never met you but you and Regal Bull will remain in my thoughts for a very long time. May the two of you forever now be with the Lord, riding together in heaven.

Skip--My family and I always waved to you and your horse every time we saw you riding down the street. My son (2 yrs old) would always point to ya'll and make a horse sound. Even though we never actually met know that you will be missed!

I met Skip at work, he was carrying in an old English saddle. I was so happy and proud to be friends with him, and had the privilege of many great rides together. Skip was smart and funny and warm. I'll always say a prayer when I drive by his farm.

Skip joined our family 8 years ago when he came to board at Easy Rider Stable. Through a friend of ours, Skip found one of the passions of his life, his beloved Regal Bull. They were inseparble even when the expense of owing a horse in California immediately after his move to Apple required sacraficing his own needs. Skip thrived at Apple, his life enhanced when he bought his farm and met Abel. Skip did more for us than we could ever have hoped or asked for. Apple benefited too, from his 1st project as a consultant on the the ipod, to his contributions to the iphone and countless other devices. His friendship and generousity was beyond measure. Even his recent health challenge was something we all could rally around to encourage him to overcome. Our sincerest condolences to Abel and to Skip mother, Sandie and Bill. A Better Day, may it Dawn Tomorrow.

Skip was truly one of a kind. He was living proof that one can lead a fulfilled, optimistic life full of laughter and joy no matter what the circumstance.
