Gloria was a great lady. She was a wonderful friend to my mom and a part of my life since I was a tiny girl. She was my baby sitter, my seminary teacher, my friend, and after the loss of my own mother I considered her that too. The world was a better place with her in it. Her death is a great loss to all of us who knew and loved her. My heartfelt condolences to her family.

We have so many fond memories of Glo from as far back as the old Shell "clubhouse" in the 1960's right on up to every retirement event she attended. Everyone looked forward to her memorable contributions. She will be missed but remembered fondly.

We had the good fortune to work with Glo in the 1980's. She was a smart lady with a good sense of humor. She always shared her "Christmas Poem", which was also similar to a roasting of friends and events over the years. They were so much fun that Kenda has carried on her tradition for many years at her dental office. I will personally miss the hugs that we shared when ever she came in.

I had the good fortune of spending time with Glo at Company events at Dexter/Hysol, now Henkel where she worked for many years .When I think of her I think of that beautiful smile, her quick wit and her wonderful sense of humor! What a lady!

I remember when I first met Gloria at a Magleby reunion. She was organizing a fund to buy Orson Magleby's furniture store in Monroe and turn it into kind of a museum. I thought it was a great idea. She also sent me a lot of information on family history.

What a woman and what a lady. An inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to have Glo enter their life and heart. I consider myself to be one of the fortunate ones for over 30 years. I will greatly miss her and our frequent visits.

Glo will always be "The Mayor" of Bay Point, she showed move love for our community than any other person who has ever lived here. She stayed active, engaged and supportive of our community even when it was not popular to do so. Glo, God has made heaven a richer place tonight with you there. Rest well you will be missed by many.
