I have known Helen since she was a vivacious sixteen year old violinist at the University of Alabama Summer Music Camp. Her enthusiasm and energy never stopped. She was a fine musician, a superb arts administrator, and one of the most compassionate people that I have ever known.Helen was "one of a kind" whose absence will be greatly missed.

Never will we know as bright a spirit as Helen . She brought the joy and privilege of music to many. She was able to pursue her passion in life and bring joy to many. Perhaps The Lord decided that she would now share her special gifts with his angels. I have known the gift of her friendship ever since Bellingrath Jr. High. Though I now reside 3000 miles away Helen remains precious in my heart. May God bring comfort and light to Al, Anita, and Art as they each find their way forward and say goodbye. She was taken from us too soon. God bless you Helen as you teach the angels to play their harp concertos.
