RUTH MULLEN Obituary

Ruth Gordon Mullen was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 22, 2012. Her Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at White Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Michael Cassity of Ridgecrest Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Ruth was preceded in death by her father, Matthew C. Gordon, mother, Willie Belle Gordon, brother, A. Pope Gordon, and sister, Willie Belle Gresham. She is survived by her devoted husband Robert V. Mullen, Jr.; three sons, Robert V. Mullen, III, Michael G. Mullen and David L. Mullen and other family, Jane P. Gordon and Carol Gordon; grandchildren, Stacey D. Cohen, Michael Mullen, Jr., W. Matthew Mullen, Scott Mullen; great-grandchildren, Travis Mullen, Peyton Mullen, Cooper Mullen, Alexis Cohen, Sophia Cohen, Kia Mullen, and Maya Mullen. The family wishes to express its deepest gratitude to the caregivers, friends and family who attended to mother's needs. Those are Cedar Crest Nursing Home, Answered Prayer Home Health Care and Hospice of Montgomery. A special heartfelt thank you to Mikiyo Mullen and Susan Eubanks who so tirelessly and selflessly attended to Ruth's many needs.
