FIORETTO "FIORE" D'ALESSANDRO
AGE: 79 SOMERSET
Fioretto "Fiore" D'Alessandro, 79, passed away Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, peacefully at home with his family. Fioretto was born in Torello Del Sannio, Italy, on May 13, 1931. He was the son of Carmela and Giovanni D'Alessandro. He came to the US on Andrea Doria in 1955. He had lived in Jersey City prior to moving to Bound Brook in 1968. He then moved with his family to Somerset, in 1977. Fioretto had been the owner of Fiore's Market (family business) in Bound Brook, for 10 years. He also worked as Chief Operator at the Somerset Raritan Valley Sewerage Authority for 22 years and retired at age 64. Fioretto was a hard working, generous man, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Fioretto was an active communicant at St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook, N.J.
He is survived by Mary D'Alessandro, his wife of 58 years; his sons, John of So. Bound Brook, Michael (Rosanne) of Somerset, Joseph (Dina) of Flemington; his sisters, Lucia Iannacone of Italy, Josephine (Gennaro) Meffe of Jersey City; his brothers, Michele (Marietta) D'Alessandro of Jersey City, Emidio (Carmela) D'Alessandro, of Wildwood; his beloved grandchildren, Matthew, Claudia, Timothy, and Samantha, and many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
Funeral Services will be 9:00 A.M. Friday, November 12, from Hagan - Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook, followed by a 9:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church. Entombment, Lake Nelson Mausoleum, Piscataway. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 -4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM.

Dear Mary, John, Michael and Joe,
We have many fond memories of your husband/father in his Bound Brook store from our youth, his friendship with our parents (both gone now). Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you cope with his loss. We are so sorry.
