I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the family of Kelley Hall. I just now discovered that Kelley passed away last month. We were fraternity brothers in Delta Chi at Troy State in the early 80's. He was a unique and compassionate individual. May God be with you in this time of sorrow.

Even though I didn't find out about Kelley's passing until Sept. 27th, I still wanted to add a message. J. Kelley Hall was one of a kind! He was so much fun to be around and always had something going on. He and I lived together for a year when I was his assistant coach at Truett-McConnell College. I learned so much basketball from him. He had a passion for the game and life that is unequalled. I miss him so much. My last conversation with him was in August and he was waiting on his girls to get out of school for the day. He said that he and Meredith were going to church regularly, taking the children, and tithing. He was trusting God to help him find a wonderful new job for him and his family. He also said that he was really enjoying spending quality time with his wife and children. He was so proud of family. Meredith, Jeanette, Raymond, and family: God blessed us with Kelley and now Kelley is with God! I pray for you daily.

In all of our years following Blue Raider and Lady Raider Athletics here in Murfreesboro, Coach Hall was our favorite opposing coach. He did a lot for women's basketball in the Sun Belt. I had the privilege of emailing Coach back and forth many times. I know our Coach Insell and family will miss him. Your family is in our prayers.

I did not know Coach personally but only from watching him as the coach at UL and through his interaction with me as a fan on our sports message boards. But even through that impersonal interaction he earned my respect and admiration. He was a class act and even after leaving he was still considered one of us. Many of us held out hope that he would soon be our Coach again. Now, unfortunately that will not happen. But he will always be a Ragin' Cajun. We appreciated his support and will miss his friendship. And all of us will remember the last words he wrote to us just a few days ago..."Think big." He will be missed
My condolences to the family.

I will miss Kelly a great deal - His constant smile and habit of wearing shorts and loafers with no socks most every day of the year will be my most lasting memories. My heart goes out to Meredith and the kids but I know that Kelley has risen to be with his maker.
