Edward Bowman Obituary
Born Sept. 3, 1957, in Painesville, he passed away March 3, 2011, at his home, after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Mr. Bowman was a miner for 25 years for Morton Salt Company and was vice president of United Steel Workers Union Local 1-966.
He was a member of Faith of Tomorrow Church and F.O.E. in Painesville. He coached midget football in Perry for six years and loved boating, 4-wheeling, gardening and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah (Joles) Bowman; sons, Edward (Emily) Bowman II of Painesville and Michael (Lindsay Friedel) Bowman of Painesville; daughter, Jessica Bowman; mother, Janice (Bernard) Nally of Kentucky; grandchildren, Izabelle, Aiden, Alex and Lily; sisters, Deborah Bowman of Tennessee and Elizabeth (Jason) Buckman of Kentucky; and nephews and nieces, Josh Joles, Ricky Akers, Veronica Patyk and Paige Buckman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl E. Bowman; brothers, Daniel Curtis Bowman and Daniel Dean Bowman; and half-brother, Carl Heath.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Burial will be held at Perry Cemetery.

I've never had the pleasure of meeting Mr Bowman, but I know Lindsay and her two wonderful kiddos, and I've seen the love they have for their Grandpa. Ed, I know you're free from pain now and that's all your friends and family could ever ask for. May you rest in peace.

Words can't express how we feel. We do know that The Bowmans are by far the best people we have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Wonderful friends and equally wonderful neighbors. You were always like a dad to me, you will be truly missed I love you and I will see you when I get up there. I know you are in the Lord's care now. You finally got your wings, you were the best guy that I ever met. A awesome neighbor, a great advice giver, and a wonderful person to talk to. I know you wouldn't want us to be sad, but celebrate your life and remember the good times.

Ed was a great man. His strength helped him go all 12 rounds in his fight with cancer. He never gave up, was never knocked out. In the end he loss to a split decision. He was a fighter. He is my roll model. I love you cuz. Be in peace as you walk beside god in heaven.
