MARY DAVIS Obituary

Mary E. Davis

April 7, 2012

Mary Enzor Davis went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on the 7th of April 2012. Mary was a loyal and devoted Christian and loving example to her family, church, and many friends.

She was born on July 15, 1946 to Edwin H. Enzor and Marinette Loflin Enzor in Arlington, Virginia. She is survived by her husband, Edgar E. Davis, her daughter Debbi Snyder, her son James Davis, her daughter-in-law Donna Davis, her grandchildren, Nicole Snyder, Abigail Davis, and Tristin Davis, her brother Edwin H. Enzor and wife Norma. She is also survived by her close family of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mary graduated from Washington and Lee High School. She received a BA degree from David Lipscomb University. After graduation she went to work in the travel industry. She married Edgar on January 23, 1982 in Nashville, TN. They lived in Bowling Green, KY, Atlanta, GA and finally retiring in Ft. Myers, FL. Each city they lived in they found a church that was loving and supportive. They are currently members of McGregor Baptist Church in Ft. Myers, FL. where Mary served in the choir and participated in the Christmas Pageant.

Mary was a talented artist and in her later years returned to her first love which was being an artist in oil paintings, graphite, and water colors. She created memorable landscapes, portraits, and religious paintings that have inspired people's lives.

A memorial service will be held for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to:

Mary is remembered as a devout Christian, Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend with a most infectious laugh, unsurpassed zest for life and being unselfishly charitable. Smart, intuitive and loaded with talent for everything artistic, golf, gourmet cooking, decorating, entertaining, gardening and singing, she taught others to be servants of the Lord through her actions. Generosity, great beauty, dignity, grace, charm and humane are forefront when thinking of Mary. Knowing and loving Mary and Ed and their friendship made us better people.
In our hearts forever, Dianne and John Wilson
