Eugene Mordente Obituary

MORDENTE - Eugene Frederick D.D.S. Dearly beloved father and husband passed peacefully on February 17, 2012 at age 89. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., Manhattan College B.S., New York University College of Dentistry-Doctor of Dental Surgery. A war veteran of both the Navy (W.W.II) and the Army (Korean War). He practiced dentistry for over 50 years in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, N.Y., and Flushing, Queens. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Helen, daughters Teresa, and Gena Zimmer (Doug), son John Mordente, M.D. (Denise) and his beloved grandson Luke Anthony, dear sisters Edith Geraci and Olga D'Esposito and many beloved nieces and nephews. In repose at Martin A. Gleason Funeral Home, 36-46 Bell Blvd., Bayside, N.Y. Monday 2-5 and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial St. Andrew Avellino RC Church Tuesday 9:30am Northern Blvd. and 158th Street. Flushing, N.Y.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me".
