Nicholas Grammas Obituary

Nicholas Grammas died after a laconic encounter with adenocarcinoma.

Nick is survived by his wife, Terri; daughters, Nika and Christa; grandsons, Nick, Zack and Alexi; sister, Auntie "O"; and brother, Steve.

Nick was born June 15, 1927, in Providence, R.I.

He served 27 years in the Air Force before retiring in Panama City, but that didn't end his airtime. Nick then flew for Vulcan Materials Co. in Birmingham, Ala., retiring again to fly MedEvac and organ transplant flights. Nick loved his family and playing golf. He and Terri traveled often and were fortunate to enjoy much of their time in the company of friends and family. Nick was a member of the Order of Daedalians, Pelican Flight TAFB and the Sts. Markella and Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Kent-Forest Lawn Chapel in Panama City. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sts. Markella and Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, P.O. Box 2135, Fort Walton Beach, Fla. 32549.
