Susan Pyburn Obituary
Susan is preceded in death by her father, Charles Eric Ragan and by her sister, Charleen Ragan Snipes. Susan is survived by her husband, Rick Pyburn; sons, Adam Pyburn, and Eric Pyburn, his wife, Stephanie; her mother, Clara C. Ragan, her father-in-law, Jack Pyburn Sr.; and mother-in-law, Leah Pyburn.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 East Millbrook Road, Raleigh. Family will be receiving guests immediately following the service. A mausoleum service will be held 3:30 p.m. at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, 770 Stadium Drive, Wake Forest.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Susan’s memory, to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Condolences can be sent to the family through www.brownwynne.com.

What a beautiful person. I only met Susan once. We shared an election year evening with a lot of people united in support for what was important to us. She was smart and personable and left an impression on me that anyone would hope to leave on others. I wish I had known her better.
I think it is true that God takes the best among us sooner. She belonged in Heaven with Him and its from there she is watching over her family.
My prayers and thoughts are with all of you who knew and love Susan.

Eric - I was so saddened to learn of the loss of your mom. I never met her, but she must have been amazing -- based solely on the amazing man I know you are. I know as a mom myself, my greatest pride would be to hear that about my sons. Your kind heart stands a testament to her. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. I know you will always be comforted by the memories you have of her.

It has been many years since we have crossed paths but the Pyburns are still remembered in New Bern. I was very sorry to read about your wife in the News and Observer on Sunday. Please know that you and your family are in the Fisher's thoughts and prayers.

We always looked forward to hearing stories about you boys at the dental lab meetings. She always got a sparkle in her eyes when she spoke of her love for you. Susan touched the lives of everyone at CCNC. She had an aura about her that made her shine; the warmth she had spread to patients and staff alike. We loved her and will miss her greatly. Thank you for letting us know Susan! Prayers for you (Rick) and your sons are abundant.

susan and I grew up in Carrboro. She was a wonderful friend whom I admired deeply. This year when I run the the Race for the Cure, I will run in Susam's memory. May God surround you with His peace during this intense time of grief.

Rick and family. I am a neighbor and friend of Jack and Leah's. My husband and I were so saddened to hear of Susan's passing. I do not think of anyone being dead, because she is not. The love you and your family felt for her is forever and your memories are eternal. We all ask, why, but I guess God had more important work for her and needed another angel. Our sincere sympathy. Our hearts are very heavy as we continue to keep you in our prayers during this time of grief. Susan was a lovely woman who touched all of our lives and she will be deeply missed. Thinking of all the family but particularly the three most important men in her life--she loved you dearly and you brought her so much joy. That is what she always shared with me, looking at the photo video I get a glimpse of what you all shared. She lives on in each of you and I pray for peace in your heart as she suffers no more on this earth, though we miss her.
