Wake Forest
Dwayne Edgar Perkinson, 63, of 4305 Mitchell Mill Road, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011 at his home. Dwayne was born August 30, 1948 in Vance County to Eunice Grissom Perkinson and the late Charlie Luther Perkinson. On November 17, 1967, he married Joy Wilson Perkinson. Dwayne was a machinist and supervisor in the cardboard industry retiring on September 2010 with 43 years of service.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church, 3329 Forestville Road, Raleigh, NC 27616 with Pastor Bill Bowyer officiating.
Burial: Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.
Surviving: Wife, Joy Wilson Perkinson; Mother, Eunice G. Perkinson; Sister, Evelyn P. Pulley and husband, Barry of Raleigh; Brother, Rex Perkinson and wife, June of Henderson; Nephews, Michael Pulley (Gina), Brad Perkinson and friend, Misty Wolfe; Niece, Amanda Griffin (Bryan); Great-Nephews, Tyler Perkinson, Hunter and Logan Pulley; Great-Niece, Eleanor Perkinson; Special Dog, "Priss".
In addition to his father, Dwayne was preceded in death by a special nephew, Robbie Creech.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2012 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545 and other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church Debt Retirement.

It's sad when any one we know passes away. I like so many others worked with Dwayne and Rex for years at Gaylord Containers and had a special bond with both of these gentlemen. God has a special place for Dwayne and Dwayne will be missed by all that know and loved him. God Bless and may Heaven continue to smile upon the family.
