Weren't we so very lucky to have known Verne and had her in our lives? I don't think there is one of her students who cannot credit her with helping us become who we are in some way. I am grateful to and for her; and I am likewise proud to be a very tiny part of the huge legacy she left behind.
She was a model and inspiration for us all.

She touched so many lives, whether we were fortunate enough to be in her class or not. A person we all looked up to, a woman of culture, class, brains, love for us all. Thank you Verne, for being a part of our lives.
