It was a privilege and a delight to work with Joe Lasser. His curiosity coupled with his deep knowledge of numismatics made every encounter with him exciting.

My condolences go out to Joe's family and friends. I worked with Joe from 1986-1996 at Neuberger & Berman. He was such a kind, generous and interesting man. Knowing him not only taught me about investments but so much about life. He was the definition of a mench!

My condolences go out to Joe's family and friends. I worked with Joe from 1986-1996 at Neuberger & Berman. He was such an honest, generous and interesting man to have known. He taught me much, not only about investments but also about life. He will be missed.

Today the numismatic community of the old and the new world loses the kindest and most generous coin collector and numismatist.
I had the privilige to have a very close and friendly relation with Joe for over 30 years. His letters and telephone calls were always so warm and encouraging. He was a man of his word, a generous person, always interested in learning new things about numismatics and related history, an expert on Dutch and Belgian 16th century silver coins and coins of the besieged cities in the 80 Years War.
Joe was my best friend in the United States. He visited me in Brussels several times.
I will miss him.

Thank you Joe Lasser for your enthusiastic assistance. Through seven years of handwritten correspondence, we produced the first book, ever written, on Colombian cobs. The numismatic world will always remember you. My sympathy to his family and friends.

If ever there was a perfect role model, it was Joe Lasser. Fair and forthright, generous and genuine, a hard-working family man... Joe was all that anyone could aspire to be. I will miss his guidance and friendship.

Joe encourgaged me and always prompted me to love my family. My sympathy to his family in your time of grieving. Much can be said of his many accomplishments, generosity of time and support, but simply put, Joe was a prince of man.
