Angela Powell Obituary
She was the daughter of the late Sydney and Lydia Morar Grosso and the wife of the late George Powell II. Angela was an active member of Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, where she was the business manager for several years. She retired as cash manager at Goodrich after thirty-three years of service. Angela was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grand-mother. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Angela was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Julie Powell and a sister, Patricia Grosso.
Angela is survived by a son, George S. Powell III and wife Heather of Wilmington, N.C.; daughters, Jean Marie Dietz and husband Scott of Ohio and Terry Powell of Ohio; grandchildren, Rob, Curtis and Spencer Workman, Adam and Zach Strong, Garrett and Gweneth Powell; great-grandson, Bentley Strong; sister-in-law, Barbara Powell.
Funeral service MONDAY, 10:30 a.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rte.93, Canal Fulton), with visitation SUNDAY, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron. Memorials may be sent to the American Diabetes Assoc., P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. (Swigart-Easterling, 330-854-2356)

Angie and I went to Thomastown School, Roswell Kent Jr. High and Garfield together. She was always quiet and gentle, and a good friend. I used go to her house, near the old Co-op and play with her and Sheila Lambert. I have thought about her often through the years, she was that kind of person who you met and didnt forget. I am truly sorry at her passing and not making it to the 50th reunion. Our husbands both worked for Acme until we moved out of Ohio. So our lives crossed paths many times. My sincere condolences to her family. You lost a gem of a person!

I am so sorry to hear of Angie's passing. We lived next to her for several years and she was such a sweet and kind lady. She loved to have my daughter Ava come over and get out the games and toys and entertain her. She loved telling us about her family and grandchildren- I can say she loved you all dearly. She was a wonderful woman and will be missed by many.
May God be with you all during this difficult time.
