Julia Stripe Obituary
Julia graduated from Manchester High School in 1946 and worked tirelessly at both Sun Rubber Corporation and Roadway, Inc. in Copley, retiring at the age of 70. She was a fifty year member of the former Portage Lakes O.E.S. An avid gardener, Julia was devoted to her family and friends. She enjoyed trips to Mountaineer and Barberton Chicken.
Born January 25, 1928 in Akron, Ohio, Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest and brother, Stephen. She is survived by son, Jim (Cheryl) Stripe; grandchildren, Jennifer (Robert) Portillo and Candy (Richard) Burris; she leaves behind four great- grandchildren, Paige, Ashley, Ella, and Beckett; sister-in-law, Geraldine Humenyik.
The family would like to thank Sally, Sue, Angie and Carolyn, devoted caregivers, Rose Lane Health Center and VNS Hospice.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 East Cherry Street, (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton). Family and friends may call Tuesday, August 14 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Eastern Star Service conducted by Anna Dean O.E.S. #595 Tuesday, 7:30 p.m. Interment will be at Manchester Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Michael J.
