Mallie Gandee Obituary
She was born November 2, 1913 in Elana, West Virginia to the late Everett and Bertha Lloyd. She attended Grace Church, Norton and enjoyed crocheting, quilting and reading.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, James Walter Gandee, who died in 2003; daughter, Iris June Gandee; granddaughter, Diane Matheny and 10 siblings. Mallie is survived by her children, Madeline (the late Herbert) Matheny of Barberton, Eugene (the late Bettie) Gandee of Barberton, Lewis (Dorothy) Gandee of Canal Fulton and Treva (Jack) White of Canal Fulton; 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Halcie Dawson of Brunswick, Ohio; nieces and nephews.
Funeral service MONDAY, 11 a.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton), with Rev. Robert Combs officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron. Aunt Mallie had such wit and a memory for things that happened many so many years ago, She had special place in her heart for all of her family and others that she knew. She was my husband aunt she and Glenns mother were sisters. I never heard heard say a bad word about anyone and her family was famous for doing things together and they loved each other deeply. On day while visiting we told her goodbye and she said love you bunches and we will always rember that and she will alway have a special place in our hearts. She was loved and will be missed by al that were blessed to know her.

Aunt Mallie was a very special to our family. We visited her a weeks weeks ago at home and here memory of past events was so sharp and her comments were so interesting. She was a very speciall person with a family that took such good care of her and she was love my so many. She was my husbands aunt (his mother was her sister)She will be missed by many family and friends.

I have never known a closer family than this one. The respect, care and love shown their mother is very rare. It has been a privilege knowing them all. Heaven is rejoicing with her presence there. With loving memory of a wonderful person...Luther and Larraine.
