Sally Kurtz Obituary
Sally was born in Canal Fulton to Deltha and Walter Schroeder. She was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school and sang soprano in the choir. From 1947-1948, Sally was a member of George "Red" Bird and His Musical Majorettes, affiliated with the Cleveland Browns.
Along with her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, James Thomas Kurtz. She is survived by her sons, Bradley (Janet) of Marshallville, Jonathan (Christy) of Dayton, Andrew (Michele) of Huron, and Jeremy (Deborah) of Canal Fulton; by her grandchildren, Nathan, Jesse (Rachel), James, Hannah, Lydia, Renata, Priya, Alpana, Madelyne, Emma; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sisters, Lelia Joy "Sis" Rohr, and Ruth Ann (Dale) Minks.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 29, from five to eight p.m. at Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E., Canal Fulton. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 336 West Market Street, Canal Fulton, with Pastor Lynn Williamson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sally's honor to St. John Lutheran Church, Canal Fulton. (Swigart-Easterling, 330-854-2356)

Andy and family, I am truly sorry to hear about your mother's death. You have my sympathies. May she rest in peace and may you fondly remember her. My mom died 30 years ago when I was only 24, but I remember and love her so much. You will too. Peggy Opatken

To the Kurtz family. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. Your Mom was very special to myself and to my parents in their time of need. Sally was so good to come visit them. I have alot of wonderful memories growing up with Sally and all her sisters. God be with you all.

To all the family- I always recall your mom teaching the pre-school sunday school. She was so good with the little kids. My son Stuart was in there with your Jessie. They were all so cute.
