Well its been almost a year since John passed away. All the memories of my childhhood John is and will always be the most prominent. We had many great times that I will never forget sometimes i will catch myself wondering what He is doing and realize he is gone forever but in my heart I hope he has gone to a better place. Constant offshore wind and waves that never quit and endless Brews and great people to tell jokes to.I wonder what he is doing right now.

Johns untimely death was a shock to Me. John and I had spoken of riding motorcycles and surfing at a surf camp in matazatlan during the summer of 2011. He was hopeing to regain his health and persue some of the old fun stuff. I have a Four year old daughter who loved John so much every time he would see her he would start acting like such a clown just for her and she just loved it so much it was the hardest thing to tell her that John was gone and was not comeing back May God Bless You John You Will Never Be FORGOTTEN!

I have known John the past 18 years, as my husband Jake and him have been the best of friends forever. The thing I remember the most about John was, no matter how much pain or suffering he was enduring, if you asked how he was doing, his reply was ALWAYS.......Sitting on a rainbow. I know in my heart he is now, sitting on that rainbow.

John was my best friend from the time I was around eight. We surfed together, went to way too many partys to mention together. His parents were like my adopted family because we were always paling around. One time a coach at Fullerton High said you guys should be named something like Yarbrough/Bos because we were almost inseprable. I guess that whats happens when you grow up next door to someone, and you become best friends

I have not seen John in many years, but enjoyed many fun times with him back in late 70’s. I most remember his fantastic sense of humor and wit. He would keep us laughing and bring delight to all those around him. I am saddened to hear of his passing and send my condolences to the family.

If my knees are up to it...I will ski at Mammoth this winter in honor of my ex brother in law John Yarbrough this next winter. I have fond memories of John which will continue for the remainder of my life.

I have placed John’s obituary on the Fullerton High School’s alumni blog so that more of his friends and classmates may see it.

John was the youngest of our Hillcrest cousins in Fullerton, and I feel sad that time has rushed by so quickly. My words are inadequate to ease pain, but time does mitigate grief as good memories will begin to brighten his image in your minds. As a former paratrooper, too, I know that he lived his life by the 82d Airborne motto, "All the way!" Our thoughts are with you and all the family.

I was pained to hear of Cousin John's passing. I wish I had the right words to ease your sadness and hope this thought will help.
Little by little,
as we grieve
for a lost loved one,
we begin to remember
not just that that John died,
but that John lived.
My heart is with the family and may you find comfort in your memories of John.
All my love, Chrissy
