When I suggested the Elkhorn Annexation, Dan became delighted. That started over 20 years of friendship and support. Dan was a solid supporter of the Elkhorn Station and their mission. I am proud to say I knew Dan Snyder!!!

Becky and Billy

I was sorry to hear of your loss.

I will always remember Dan as the quick witted cordial host of the "Snyder Invitational" at Elk Horn Golf course.
He was a real gentleman and made everyone feel welcome.

He will be missed!!

I would also like to extend my sympathies to your family.

Our father, Jerry Davenport, enjoyed working with Dan at the cannery and our parents enjoyed having them as neighbors on Ewald in Salem.

Dan was my mom's best buddy (Rosa Coffman). They met at Stayton Canning Company and remained close friends till my mom passed away December 30, 2003, at 92 years old.

After my dad passed away and she retired from the Stayton Canning Company, he was always her escourt to the cannery's annual banquet. And likewise, whatever family gathering took place, he was always on the guest list!

Dan was a very kind and loving man and never missed the chance to give the ladies a big hug and the fellows a hearty handshake whenever we gathered. And he was always asked by our children when they were little to "jump up and click his heels" whenever he stopped by mom's which he always did with a big smile!

He'll be missed, but blessed with the full life he led.

Sincerely,

Ron and Sue Cozzens

I worked for Dan as a young 21 year old and was trained by the best, to be the best assistant to the Corporate Secretary at Stayton Canning/NORPAC. It was an honor and pleasure to work for Dan until his retirement. He will be missed.

Danny was one of my Dad's dearest friends, having met in the CCCs at Camp Zig Zag. He spoke at Dad's memorial service, which we greatly appreciated. My condolences to Danny's family.

Uncle Danny was always there as family. I never saw him cross but always was full of love. Living in Missouri I did not get to see him much but when I did make it back to Oregon it was always a pleasure when I got to see Uncle Danny and Becky. My last visit I was glad to see him and can be happy he has gone to be with Aunt Helen and the rest of the Snyder Clan.

I used to work for Norpac back in the days when it was Stayton Canning. Dan had such a sense of humor and loved to tease me. He was also a true friend to my parents, Ann and Walter Smith. It was a pleasure to have known him. Such a good and kind man. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and him always.

Becky and Billy,
We were privileged to have gotten to know Dan as we sat in the row in front of him at church. Later we enjoyed our meals together at your home and then we had fun bringing ice cream or hot chocolate to him at Marion Estates.
Dan had such a beautiful smile and such a wonderful sense of humor. His comments were so clever and apropos. He had such a positive and wonderful outlook on life. He embraced life and his family and friends fully.
We share your sorrow over his passing and want you to know that we hold you two in our prayers. You have such wonderful memories with him. You provided a wonderful home for him and you both were with him every day at Marion Estates. Dan is rejoicing in heaven with his God. Blessings on you.
