Such heart-breaking news & sad times for you all, now the struggle to find the right words to make your heart lighter. Trying to give the happy hugs you give to friends when you haven't seen them in a long time will make us tear-up when we embrace now. Just writing this rips my heart out. Jay & Shirley you were always the coolest parents, the parents that laughed & encouraged & helped out, always remember that he was proud to call you mom & dad. Doug was blessed by having you guys in his corner all the time!! Sad times bring back happy memories of Jay coaching ! Shirley choking ( just kidding, you know what I'm talking about Shir ) and Doug knockin' it down at baseball :) You guys ALWAYS having the best sailor's tans & Doug talking about "his boat" - the guy loved sailing, but most of all he loved you! Time is often not our friend, it makes us think we have lots of days to say what we want, to do what we should, it's elusive and unfair.
